Abstract

The session "Laser techniques for material knowledge and conservation" aims at attracting the participation interest of that part of the laser applications community strongly involved in study and preservation of cultural heritage. The submission of contributions involving technological or methodological advances on laser techniques for material characterization and conservation-restoration are strongly encouraged. Innovative results on any material knowledge problem (restoration anamnesis, deterioration mechanisms, execution processes, etc.) achieved using Laser Induced Plasma/Breakdown Spectroscopy, Raman spectroscopy, Laser Induced Fluorescence, Optical Coherence Tomography, THz-Spectroscopy, and other are welcome. Furthermore, the present session is also open to collect contributions dedicated to the optimisation and assessment of laser conservation-restoration treatments.
